I want to be your UUP Chapter President.
I have been a union member for more than twenty years and am a product of union activists. I recall stories from my grandparents’ involvement with their respective unions in Wisconsin. My grandmother successfully had her teacher’s union enforce conditions of their contract so that she was hired at an experienced English and History teacher’s salary. My grandfather was a union steward for the City of Milwaukee Police Department’s union. My mother taught me the value of service and being an advocate. So, my understanding of union came from these awesome, inspiring people whose lives and stories fueled my desire to become more active in UUP.
Currently, I am the Membership Development Officer and a professional delegate representative. Here are some of my activities and the events for increasing our membership and members' involvement in our union.
